A bull caused panic in downtown Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro, after escaping from a private property on Saturday morning, February 7.
The bovine ran through several streets of the town, injuring at least six people and causing significant property damage, including to a police patrol car.
The video quickly went viral due to the brutal nature of the incident, showing a family running as they noticed the animal.
During their escape, a young girl was gored by the bull’s horns and thrown several meters. Seconds later, the animal charged an adult man, who fell to the ground as the bull continued on its way.
Some residents, realizing what was happening, rushed out to help the injured, while others ran with sticks in case the bull returned.
According to official information, the bull also rammed two patrol cars belonging to the Municipal Public Security Secretariat and a private vehicle, causing considerable material damage.
Following the initial reports, municipal authorities activated the corresponding security protocols. Civil Protection personnel, Municipal Public Security officers, and other emergency services responded to the scene to contain the situation.
The City Council reported that the bull was subdued by authorities, restoring order and security to the city center.
Regarding legal and financial responsibility, the bull’s owner will be responsible for paying for all damages caused, including those to the municipal patrol cars and the private vehicle involved.
Furthermore, direct settlement agreements were reached with the injured parties, guaranteeing medical attention and appropriate compensation, with no outstanding disputes reported.
