The Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant located in Rosarito was temporarily closed after municipal authorities detected several irregularities during a preventative operation.

The inspection was carried out by personnel from the Verification Department, as part of ongoing operations to ensure that commercial establishments comply with current regulations. These operations were intensified following the fire at the La Estancia restaurant last Sunday.

The Secretary General of the Government, José Luis Alcalá Murillo, reported that the inspection revealed the establishment lacked an operating license, fire department permits, and civil protection permits.

Furthermore, the lack of employee health cards, grease traps, LP gas verification manifest, and safety measures certificates, among other mandatory requirements, was noted.

The official indicated that the closure will remain in effect until the company rectifies its situation and demonstrates compliance with each of the issues identified by the authorities.

The restaurant, located in the Pabellón Rosarito shopping plaza, was inaugurated just last November.
