A city bus driver in Nuevo León refused to let a young man from the Therian community board his bus, a situation captured on video.
The recording, shared on TikTok, shows the moment the driver prevented the young man from this community from entering his bus.
The video shows the driver abruptly closing the bus doors to prevent the young man, dressed as a fox, from getting on.
After seeing the driver’s refusal, the young man appears surprised by his attitude, while other young people from the same community walk past the bus stop.
Furthermore, at the end of the recording, a man can be heard saying, “That’s why they get run over.”
After the video showing the rejection suffered by the young man, who identifies as Therian, went viral, social media users expressed their opinions.
Some made jokes about it and showed support for the decision of the bus driver on Route 203 Santa Catarina-Estanzuela.
“Okay, even if they get upset, I repeat, they won’t have access to many places because most don’t allow animals.”
“This really seems like a joke from humanity. God forgive us for not agreeing with our lives.”
“Undeniable increase, bravo to the driver!” were some of the reactions to the video.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Luis, who identifies as a Therian horse, went to the Nuevo León Congress today to present a proposal called the Therian Law, which, he explained, would seek to address and reduce cases of bullying faced by people with Therian Rights in schools and workplaces.
As part of his demonstration, Luis performed a demonstration in the esplanade of the legislative building, where he imitated behaviors associated with a horse, such as neighing, eating plants, and kicking, with the aim of making his position visible and drawing attention to his initiative.
“I wish they would give us a law (he neighs) because people see me in the street, they see me at home, and they treat me like a freak. They say I’m crazy, that I’m a horse boy, and I’m not like that,” he asserted.
Mauricio Castillo, the lawyer representing the horse therian, said there are more than 100 cases of horse therians living in Nuevo León who cannot be happy because they are not allowed to express themselves.
Castillo asked the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to help the therians.
They also requested working groups with the Attorney General’s Office to prevent crimes against therians.
