A new direct route from Tampico to Monterrey will soon be launched by the Mexican international airline Aerus, which primarily operates Cessna Grand and Caravan EX aircraft with a capacity of 9 to 12 seats.
The airline offers affordable fares.
The route will have six weekly flights, with a flight time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The flight will depart at 8:15 a.m. from Tampico’s Francisco Javier Mina International Airport.
According to Aerus’ Commercial Director, Miguel Legorreta Hernández, the route is scheduled to begin on March 2nd of this year.
The one-way fare will start at 1,985 pesos, including taxes. Currently, no discounts are planned for senior citizens.
The commercial director of Aerus stated that this new travel option represents an opportunity to connect to international destinations offered by the airline, taking advantage of the stopover in Monterrey.
“We currently fly to 11 destinations, two of them international: Brownsville and Laredo, Texas. With this flight, passengers can also connect from Monterrey to these destinations with a single ticket.”
This air connectivity for the state is strengthened by the new Tampico-Monterrey-Monterrey-Tampico flight operated by Aerus, reported Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism for Tamaulipas.
“This key route, which improves access to the southern part of the state, boosts tourism, business, and trade with Nuevo León, and offers greater comfort and frequency for travelers and visitors,” he indicated.
