Following the violence reported in various regions of the country after the killing of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, alerts have been issued regarding possible cancellations and delays in transportation services.
In San Juan del Río, an incident was reported on Highway 57 near Palmillas, where armed individuals forced the driver of a cargo truck out and then set the vehicle on fire. This incident mobilized security forces and is prompting traffic monitoring in the area.
Bus companies have begun reporting disruptions to their routes. Primera Plus indicated that, due to circumstances beyond its control, some services have been canceled and advised passengers to stay informed through official channels or visit ticket offices for information on changes or rescheduling.
The company also detailed the temporary suspension of flights to and from destinations in Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Aguascalientes, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and La Piedad, while road safety conditions are being assessed. This could also lead to delays on other routes.
Meanwhile, Grupo Estrella Blanca reported that it has suspended operations in various parts of the country due to road closures and the presence of burning vehicles, a measure adopted at the recommendation of state authorities to safeguard the well-being of passengers and staff.
In the air sector, airlines such as Viva Aerobús and Volaris warned of road blockades and disruptions near the airports of Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Bajío, and Reynosa, urging travelers to arrive early and check their flight status, although operations remain active.
In contrast, authorities at the Querétaro International Airport reported that operations are currently proceeding normally. However, they recommended that users stay tuned to official information and allow extra travel time, while security forces continue to reinforce surveillance on state highways and access roads.
