My name is Víctor Acosta Pérez, and I live in the Sabina neighborhood in the municipality of Centro. I am writing to report an arbitrary act that occurred while I was driving on Paseo Tabasco Avenue, near the “Vuelta del Diablo” (Devil’s Turn). Since I do not have the financial resources to pay a fine I did not commit, I am requesting legal guidance on how to proceed against this abuse of authority.
It is important to know that all traffic violations can be challenged through administrative channels. Arbitrary acts by public servants who abuse their authority to extort citizens can be challenged legally. The first step is to file a formal complaint with the Director General of Traffic. This complaint must be properly substantiated and justified, explaining in detail that the alleged violation never occurred.
