The Primera Plus bus line announced the cancellation of some of its services until further notice, including trips on the Mexico City–Querétaro route, due to circumstances beyond its control.
Through its official channels, the company urged passengers to stay informed and, if they have a scheduled departure, to go to the ticket counters for information regarding rescheduling or cancellations.
The suspensions come amidst road blockades and vehicle burnings reported on various highways across the country, following a federal operation in Jalisco to capture criminal leaders. As a result, the Morelia Bus Terminal suspended departures and arrivals to several national destinations.
Primera Plus detailed the suspension of scheduled bus routes for Sunday, February 22, until further notice on the following routes:
From Mexico City to Querétaro; From and to Guadalajara, Jalisco; From and to Aguascalientes; From and to Puerto Vallarta; From and to Mazatlán; From and to La Piedad.
It was also reported that departures and arrivals to Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán remain temporarily suspended, as these are the states where the problem originated.
For its part, Estrella Blanca announced on social media the temporary suspension of routes to Tepic, Jalisco; Tamaulipas; Baja California; and Veracruz, with the aim of safeguarding the well-being of passengers.
Similarly, the ETN company announced the temporary suspension of all its services until further notice. “Due to the blockades in different parts of the country, our services are suspended until further notice. Please stay tuned for updates,” the company stated, adding that its telephone support line is available to users.
