The Fifth Real Estate Forum 2026 was a resounding success in Mazatlán, under the theme “Building the Future of Investments: The New Horizon,” organized by the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI Mazatlán).

On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, Luciano Carrasco, head of AMPI Mazatlán, stated that the event brought together more than 700 attendees from other municipalities and cities who will be joining the association. State authorities, business owners, developers, real estate professionals, notaries, and representatives from various sectors throughout the state were also present.

In his opening remarks, the president of AMPI Mazatlán emphasized that the forum aims to be a space for dialogue and the development of a clear vision for the future of real estate in the port city.

“We reaffirm our commitment to promoting a professional, responsible, and competitive sector that generates economic development, employment, and well-being for our community,” he said.

The meeting was attended by municipal and state authorities. Alí Rene Zamudio Garza, Director of Economic Development, Tourism, and Fisheries for Mazatlán, emphasized that the local government is working to create conditions that provide certainty for investment and strengthen the city’s competitiveness.

For his part, Feliciano Castro Melendrez, Secretary of Economy for Sinaloa, reported that the state has seen a total of 128 billion pesos in private investment over the last four years of the current administration, of which approximately 80 percent is concentrated in Culiacán and Mazatlán. He noted that real estate activity represents around 10 percent of the state’s Gross Domestic Product and emphasized that behind every project lies family assets that must be protected with legal certainty.

At the forum, he also highlighted ongoing strategic projects, such as the Topolobampo development hub with investments exceeding $12 billion and the tourism growth in Mazatlán, where seven large-scale hotels are currently under construction and seven more projects are in the planning stages.

With these initiatives, Mazatlán is solidifying its position as an attractive destination to live, invest, and visit, reaffirming its tourism focus and its role as a driving force for real estate development in Sinaloa.
