The Government of the State of Colima, through the Colima Institute of Radio and Television (ICRTV), announces the premiere of ‘From the Roots,’ a program in its new programming lineup that seeks to recover and showcase the stories, trades, and knowledge that give Colima its identity.

Starting this Wednesday, March 18, at 3:30 p.m., the public television station of the Government of the State of Colima, headed by Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva, will launch this program dedicated to recognizing those who, through their daily lives, build culture.

‘From the Roots’ will focus on endearing individuals: traditional cooks, artisans, merchants, folk artists, and bearers of local knowledge, whose stories reflect the living cultural richness of the state, in a commitment to relatable narratives that connect with the audience through experience, memory, and the land.

Through a sensitive documentary approach, this production seeks to strengthen a sense of belonging, promote local pride, and contribute to reflection on the importance of preserving our roots in a context of constant transformation. Tune in on Channel 12.1 on free-to-air television and Channel 112 on the Megacable system.
