Rhythm, nostalgia, and energy took over Monterrey on the night of March 20th with Ricky Martin’s performance, part of his Ricky Martin Live 2026 tour.
At 9:35 p.m. sharp, the stage at Walmart Park lit up, a group of energetic dancers appeared, and to the first chords of “Pégate,” the Puerto Rican singer launched into a show filled with dance, lights, and a constant connection with the Monterrey audience.
Throughout the night, the artist took his fans on a musical journey that included some of his greatest hits, such as “María,” “Vuelve,” and “Fuego de noche, nieve de día,” songs that were sung along to from beginning to end by thousands of attendees.
One of the most intense moments came with “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” a song that raised the energy of the venue and transformed the concert into a true collective party, where friends and strangers alike joined together in a single voice to sing this musical anthem at the top of their lungs.
For the finale, Ricky Martin chose an excellent song, keeping in mind that the World Cup was about to begin and that Monterrey was one of the three host cities in Mexico. So, to the rhythm of “La Copa de la Vida,” the official anthem of the 1998 FIFA World Cup France, the singer poured all his energy into the performance, unleashing a standing ovation from the audience and confirming why he remains one of the most important Latin artists worldwide.
With impeccable production, more than five costume changes, a jovial and refreshing attitude, and a repertoire that combined nostalgia and contemporary hits, the show made it clear that the performer continues to conquer stages and generations.
