A minor who had been kidnapped was rescued in the municipality of Escuinapa during a coordinated operation between federal and state forces, following an anonymous tip to the 089 hotline.
Members of the Mexican Army, the Sinaloa State Public Security Secretariat, the National Guard, the Mexican Navy, and federal and state ministerial authorities participated in the operation.
The operation was launched after the Interinstitutional Group received an anonymous call to 089 reporting that a minor was being held in a house in the Fovissste del Mar neighborhood.
Following the report, authorities went to the location and found the minor, who was immediately freed and received medical attention, as well as legal assistance before the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Operation in Escuinapa results in 8 arrests and seizure of weapons and tactical equipment.
During the operation, authorities arrested eight people allegedly involved in the kidnapping and seized weapons and tactical equipment.

The detainees were turned over to the Attorney General’s Office for further investigation.
Rescue minor receives medical attention and legal support
The alleged victim was taken for medical evaluation and psychological support, and also gave a statement to the authorities to be included in the investigation file.
Authorities emphasized that the minor was alive and was located thanks to a tip from a citizen, which allowed for a rapid response from law enforcement.
The federal and state governments reiterated their call to the public to use 911 in emergencies and 089 for anonymous reports, as these mechanisms allow for a swift response to risky situations.
