This Saturday, dozens of foreigners, mostly Americans, demonstrated with a message of peace and “no to war,” and against President Donald Trump’s interventionist and immigration policies.
In the main square of San Miguel de Allende, they delivered a message of peace and love, declaring “no to war,” “no to ICE,” “no to kings,” and demanding an end to violence.
The protest brought together more than 300 people, some of them Mexican, who for the third time displayed the message “No Kings” on banners at a public event.
They also displayed signs with messages written in English and Spanish: “No ICE,” “Immigrants Make America Great,” “Rejecting Kings Since 1776,” “Justice Peace Love,” and “No World War 3.”
Afterward, they gave speeches in both languages from a platform set up outside the San Miguel Arcángel parish church.
They demanded a US foreign policy that respects the sovereignty of other nations and rejected intervention.
The protesters expressed their rejection of the interventions the US has carried out in Iran, Palestine, Cuba, and Venezuela.
