During the current holiday season, it’s not just the beaches that are attracting visitors to Puerto Vallarta. Hundreds of people are also flocking to the region’s rivers and streams to relax in nature.

Some visitors choose to camp in these areas, while others simply come to spend the day with their families, leading to increased activity at these spots.

In response, Civil Protection personnel are conducting surveillance operations and preventive patrols along various rivers in the city to protect both residents and tourists.

These actions allow them to identify risks, provide timely recommendations, and reinforce security in areas with higher concentrations of people, promoting a culture of prevention during the season.

Authorities urged the public to avoid entering unsafe areas, to follow the instructions of personnel at all times, and to keep a close eye on children.

Civil Protection reiterated that it will continue these efforts to ensure the safety of those who choose the rivers as a recreational option during these holidays.
