Who Can Receive the 50% Discount?

According to authorities in Querétaro, the benefit is available to three specific groups:

  • Retirees or pensioners
  • People with disabilities

Older adults may request the discount by presenting a valid credential issued by the National Institute for Older Adults (INAPAM).

Retirees and pensioners must provide identification that verifies their status.

People with disabilities must present a credential or document issued by the DIF (National System for Integral Family Development).

What Documents Are Required?

Applicants seeking a driver’s license in Querétaro must submit several original documents, including:

  • A valid official photo identification, such as a voter ID card (INE), passport, or professional license.
  • A proof of address from the state of Querétaro issued within the last three months.
  • A valid printed vehicle liability insurance policy for the vehicle used during the driving test.
  • Proof of payment for the procedure.

The current fees vary depending on the type of license requested.

Type A License

  • For private vehicles.

Type B License

Type C License

Type D License

How Is the Process Completed?

The first step is to schedule an appointment online through the Universal Service Window system of the Government of Querétaro.

Once the appointment is scheduled, the applicant must make the corresponding payment online or at authorized establishments.

On the day of the appointment, it is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes early with all required documentation.

During the process, applicants must complete:

  • A medical evaluation
  • A theoretical exam on traffic regulations
  • A practical driving test

After successfully passing the evaluations and having the documentation validated, the corresponding license is issued with the validity period and characteristics of the requested license type.
