The “Ángeles Verdes” (Green Angels) have provided 3,836 services on Tamaulipas highways so far in 2026, benefiting over 13,000 tourists and travelers.

Throughout the year, the Ángeles Verdes have established themselves as steadfast guardians of Tamaulipas’ highways, offering timely assistance and quality services to thousands of travelers and vacationers—all accessible simply by dialing 078—noted Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, the state’s Secretary of Tourism.

“So far this year, they have provided 3,836 services on state roadways, directly assisting 13,747 tourists who received timely, professional support,” the official stated.

Additionally, they have responded to 768 calls for help and effectively intervened in five highway accidents.

These figures demonstrate, once again, the Ángeles Verdes’ fundamental commitment to road safety, tourist assistance, and the peace of mind of those traveling along Tamaulipas’ highways.

Hernández Rodríguez reiterated his call for motorists to check their vehicle’s mechanical condition before leaving home, avoid distractions while driving, obey road signs and speed limits, refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol, and—above all—avoid driving if they feel tired or fatigued.

In the event of a mechanical failure or to request guidance, he recommended turning to the Tourism Ángeles Verdes, who can be contacted by dialing 078 or via their mobile app. All their services are completely free of charge, the state tourism chief concluded.
