VIRAL: Boatmen rescued a deer in the waters off Yucatán 🎦

The incident took place off the coast of El Cuyo, in southeastern Yucatán, where boatmen giving a tour to Belgian tourists were surprised to spot a small white-tailed deer swimming in the open sea.

Realizing the deer could no longer make it back to shore on its own, the boatmen carefully captured it and brought it aboard—a moment captured in a video that went viral on social media.

The video shows the boatmen using a rope to catch the small deer, carefully lifting it onto the boat, and steadying it as they steered toward the shore to release the animal.

Once on the shore, the deer shook off the water and briefly re-entered the sea—seemingly to “thank” the boatmen and tourists—before returning to land as if nothing had happened.
