The San Miguel de Allende International Writers and Literature Festival has opened the registration calls for its writing competitions, aimed at authors who wish to showcase their work and become part of one of the most important literary gatherings in Mexico.
The calls include different categories with the goal of promoting literary creation and recognizing the talent of both national and international writers. For its 21st edition, the festival has opened national competitions for short stories, chronicles, and poetry, while the international category will only accept short stories.
Participating Works Must Be Original and Unpublished
The submitted works must be original and unpublished and will be evaluated by a jury made up of specialists from the literary field. The jury will determine which writers will receive recognition during the San Miguel de Allende International Writers and Literature Festival, an event that brings together authors, publishers, academics, and readers from different countries every year.
The winners will also have the opportunity to participate in conferences, workshops, book presentations, and reading promotion activities that will take place during the festival’s 21st edition, for which organizers are already preparing a program scheduled to take place over five days in February of next year.
