The FIFA Fan Fest Beach in Puerto Vallarta concluded its World Cup run this Sunday with an attendance of 1,100 people who gathered on the beach to watch the final between Argentina and Spain. The event marked the end of more than a month of sporting, cultural, and artistic activities in this tourist destination.
The broadcast of the decisive match brought together hundreds of local fans and tourists from various countries who flocked to the venue set up in the Pensiones area, solidifying Fan Fest Beach as one of the main meeting points during the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the Jalisco coast.
During the weeks of the tournament, this space not only hosted World Cup matches but also became a hub of interaction that united Vallarta residents, national tourists, and international visitors around football and culture.
The matches of the Mexican National Team drew the largest crowds. Matches like Mexico vs. Ecuador and the game against England drew thousands of fans who packed the stadium and later moved to the Malecón and other parts of the city to celebrate the Mexican national team’s performance.
In addition to the sports broadcasts, the venue hosted several free concerts as part of the Vibra Jalisco program. Among the most notable performances were those by singer Ximena Sariñana, Mago de Oz, Jumbo, Amigos Invisibles, and others, solidifying the Fan Fest as a comprehensive entertainment space.
Another element that defined this experience was the installation of the Vallarta Dome, a high-tech, immersive megastructure that offered audiovisual experiences, projections, and special activities during the World Cup, and which will continue to be used for film screenings, documentaries, and concerts.
The Puerto Vallarta Fan Fest Beach was one of the four official Fan Zones that the Vibra Jalisco program established in the state to decentralize the World Cup festivities beyond Guadalajara, the official host city. The strategy allowed for large-scale events to be held in various municipalities and strengthened tourism revenue along the coast and in the Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns).
According to figures presented by the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism, the Vibra Jalisco activities, the Public Viewing areas, and the Fan Fests brought together more than 675,000 attendees throughout the state, 160,000 of whom were in Puerto Vallarta.
With the final between Argentina and Spain, the World Cup stage of the Fan Fest Beach officially concluded. For over a month, this event transformed the Puerto Vallarta coastline into one of Jalisco’s main venues for socializing, sports, and entertainment during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
