TULUM, MX.- A woman was left with a probable skull fracture, apparently from being hit with a blunt object, on the Playa del Carmen-Tulum highway section, near the Xel-Ha park, and had to be helped by a taxi driver , who put her in his vehicle and called 911.
The taxi driver of the “Lázaro Cárdenas del Río” union believed that this victim had been wounded by a gunshot, so he reported it to the authorities, who mobilized to the area.
It was not until paramedics evaluated this woman that they realized that she had been hit, ruling out a gunshot injury.
The taxi ended up parked on the side of the road, heading from south to north.
Police officers arrived in this area, who guarded the area, waiting for the agents of the State Attorney General’s Office.
The victim was taken in a private ambulance to the General Hospital, where she was hospitalized.
