Captive in paradise! FGE rescues three foreign victims of trafficking in Cancun

The young women were forced for a month and a half to pay a fee to Óscar ‘N’ and Yuliana Liceth ‘N’ for bringing them to Mexico.

During an operation carried out by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) in Cancún, the authorities managed to arrest a man and a woman, identified as Óscar ‘N’ and Yuliana Liceth ‘N’, respectively, as well as the rescue of three foreigner women.

The intervention took place in a house located in the Arboledas del Sur subdivision, in Supermanzana 336 of the city.

The action derived from a search warrant issued by a Control Judge, within the framework of an investigation into possible human trafficking in the Municipality of Benito Juárez.

Yuliana Liceth ‘N’ is identified as the person allegedly responsible for promoting the prostitution, for a month and a half, of the young women residing in the home, demanding a fee from them for each service provided.

The first investigations reveal that the victims were forced to pay an amount to settle outstanding debts with the detainees, who would have brought them to Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Óscar ‘N’ was in charge of transportation to places of sexual services, while Yuliana Liceth ‘N’ retained the passports of the foreigners and imposed fines on them.

After the operation, the property was officially sealed, and the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, facing possible charges of human trafficking. During the constitutional term, the competent authority will determine its legal status.
