Kuali/San Miguel de Allende, Gto.- For extorting the owner of a butcher shop in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, the Attorney General’s Office of Guanajuato (FGEG) obtained a prison sentence for Juan Carlos “N”, for the crime of aggravated extortion.
In August 2022, the victim received threatening calls and messages from unknown numbers, where they demanded an amount of several thousand pesos, in exchange for not harming his family.
The aggrieved continued to receive threats constantly without responding to them, until the end of the month that he was alone in his establishment, and the accused arrived to ask him for the payment, giving him a deadline of one day to have the cash, while showing a firearm that he carried on his waist.
