This morning, the cancellation of flights at the international airport of Puebla was reported due to the fall of ash from the Popocatépetl Volcano.
Through its X account, formerly Twitter, the airline Volaris alerted its users about the affectation in their flights due to the presence of volcanic ash in the Hermanos Serdán International Airport.
Therefore, it asked to stay tuned to the status of the flights through the site https://www.volaris.com/flightstatus where they should only enter their flight number, or the city of origin and destination to know the delay time or the modifications that will be made.
For its part, the company Viva Aerobus pointed out that after the closure they were affected “the scheduled itineraries of all the airlines that operate in that entity”.
The affected people will be able to know the schedule changes on the airline’s portal: https://www.vivaaerobus.com/es-mx/flight-status.
Due to the fall of volcanic ash, the state government warned the population not to approach the Popocatépetl because under the current conditions it can be fatal.
“Its activity can occur at any time and cause rock avalanches that travel up to 100km / h; destroying everything in its path. Respect the exclusion radius of 12 km so as not to risk your life,” he said on his X account.
