MEXICO CITY, Mexico.- Viva Aerobus announced for this month the start of operations of five additional routes from the “Felipe Ángeles” International Airport (AIFA), with destinations to Chihuahua, Huatulco, Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa and Tampico.
With this expansion, the airline aims to offer more than 4.5 million seats from the new airport during the course of 2024.
The newly announced routes coincide with the start of the reduction of operations at the Mexico City International Airport, going from 52 to 43 flights per hour at peak times.
With these new routes, there are already 19 destinations to which Viva Aerobus flies from AIFA, to meet the demand for air connectivity in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico.
