The Durangans return with a good harvest of medals.
The Anguilas de Durango swimming team, as part of their training for the National Conade Games 2024, participated this Saturday in the municipal Acuatlón held in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, where they obtained three first places, two thirds, a fourth and a sixth place.
The event was organized by the Municipal Institute of Mazatlán and had as its venue the Club Playa Norte, of the same Sinaloa port, where the Durango triathletes achieved excellent results as part of their preparation for the National Conade Games 2024.
Within the group attended the current national champion of Acuatlón, Natalia Medellin Nevarez, who without problems obtained the first place in the category 13-15 years, in the same test, the also Durango Victoria Sophia Soto finished in the third place, while Sara Martínez Cabrales was sixth.
Who also captured the spotlight was Karim Andrés Ovalle by winning the first place in the same category, 13-15 years.
For her part, Cinthya Valeria Zurbia stayed with the first place in the 16-23 years, where Hannia Nicole Diaz Castro and Isabella Murguía Diaz finished in the third and fourth place, respectively.
The team was commanded by the coaches Hugo Cuauhtémoc Mata Ortega, Hugo Butzman, Lourdes González and Efrén Zurbia, who thanked the parents for putting all the effort so that the 7 triathletes could attend the training.
