Due to the low temperatures in the United States, more than 75% of the population in the country faces temperatures below zero.
In the first 15 days of 2024, hotel occupancy in Los Cabos has reached 73%, according to Lilzi Orcí Fregoso, president of the Hotel Association of the region. This figure remains in line with the record registered the previous year.
Many flights were canceled and diverted in cities like Kansas and New York when temperatures dropped below 20 degrees Celsius.
Despite this bad weather, Lilzi Orcí Fregoso assured that tourists do not cancel their trips, but try to postpone their stay one more day. Flexibility in travel plans is a common strategy among visitors facing inclement weather.
“January is a little easier than December, so the first two weeks are a small change of work. However, we found that the behavior was similar to what we have documented in previous years. That means that the numbers will be the same”
