The festivities will begin on February 8 at the State Center of the Arts (CEART) Ensenada with the Commemorative Ceremony to receive the Royal Court.
The traditional carnival of Ensenada will take place this year from February 8 to 13 in a special way under the name of “Commemorative Carnival” because it will be focused on remembering the history of this event and highlighting the importance of this festivity for the city that this 2024 celebrates 133 years as one of the most representative parties of Baja California and an international tourist attraction.
“133 years of this annual celebration show the diversity and authenticity of our state. Ensenada has a value chain ready to surprise the national and foreign visitors who join the festivities. From the hotels that offer comfort and spectacular views to the restaurants that serve the best of the local gastronomy, in every corner of the city and its surroundings they are prepared to offer an unforgettable experience”, said the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez.
The festivities will begin on February 8 at the State Center of the Arts (CEART) Ensenada with the Commemorative Ceremony to receive the Royal Court, with the participation of former kings and queens who have contributed to the history of the festival.
The Plaza Pueblo Antiguo will dress up for the traditional burning of the bad mood, marking the beginning of a week full of events. Likewise, the House of Culture will become the epicenter of the Cultural Carnival, from February 8 to 12, hosting artistic activities, dance classes and film screenings with carnival theme.
In the musical field, “Hiphopmania” from February 8 to 13 will present rap events with local and foreign artists, including Dante One, Wason Low Cali, Coko Yamasaki and La Costa Oeste Bandida in the Galerón de Plaza Pueblo Antiguo.
The Carnaval Cup 2024, which covers sports disciplines such as cachibol, skate, basketball, petanque and flag football, will offer a unique competitive experience, fostering community participation and sportsmanship.
For the little ones, the Circus of the Stars of the Carnival on February 10, in front of Costco, will offer games, raffles, pizza and a magical show for the whole family. In addition, visitors can complement their experience in Ensenada with activities such as gray whale sightings, gastronomic tours, tours of local wineries, among others.
