Tlalnepantla, Mex. Dozens of cyclists began a journey of 3,778 kilometers from Tlalnepantla to Wichita, Kansas, United States, as a way to commemorate the twinning of both cities.
When commemorating the 51st anniversary of the fraternal ties of both cities, this Friday the interim mayor, Nadya de Jesús Cruz Serrano, gave the starting signal to the cycling trip, which aims to cover a route of 200 kilometers per day.
In 1973 the brotherhood with Wichita began, so this 2024 marks the 51st anniversary of the twinning; In 2003, with the 30th anniversary celebrations, the cycling tour began.
The mayor’s office provided resources for the development of the sports event, which this Friday started from the Doctor Gustavo Baz Prada municipal plaza.
