Participation of Querétaro wineries in this contest will increase 50%

There will be 108 Querétaro wine labels that will participate in the Brussels World Competition, which highlights that there is quality in the state, indicated the director of the Querétaro Wine Cluster, Liliana Cedillo.
“It is the most important wine festival in the world, and in a coordinated manner through the Wine Cluster and with the enthusiasm of all winegrowers, we are going to participate with a large number of wine labels,” she indicated.
She stressed that participation in this contest helps entrepreneurs compare themselves with the wines of the world, in addition to obtaining a rating and feedback, it allows them to improve the quality of wines in Querétaro.
“And this also helps them know which aspects they have to constantly improve, and above all the global trends of what is happening with wine,” she stressed.
She mentioned that the participation of Querétaro wineries in this contest will increase 50% compared to 2023; and she stressed that the contest will be held in the state of Guanajuato in the month of June, and it will be the first time it will be held on the American continent.
The director of the cluster said that the labels that will participate in the contest are varied with a selection of red and white wines, as well as some of the vineyards will send sparkling wines.
Likewise, she announced that this year the harvest season will begin from June 22 in Querétaro to September 30 with more diversity in the harvest proposals and parties.
“Precisely to celebrate this harvest that is going to be made of the Queretaro grapes and wine,” she said.
