Did you forget to go to the Treasury? We explain how to carry out Mexico City government procedures from your WhatsApp account.

Before, it could be overwhelming to carry out a procedure with the Mexico City government because in most cases you had to go to the facilities and wait your turn.

The capital’s government already offers an alternative to submit more than 500 procedures from your WhatsApp account, in a matter of minutes.

Through X, the government presented the new Locatel chatbot, which works to “resolve doubts and carry out procedures” from the messaging application.

How can I interact with the chatbot?

To use this function, you must register the Locatel number (5556581111) in your contacts and send a “Hello” to start the conversation. The chatbot will then display a menu with the available procedures.

License renewal on WhatsApp

1. Send a WhatsApp message to the Locatel number.
2. Click on the “Choose an option” section and select “Renew Type A License”.
3. Confirm the “Renew license” option.
4. Enter your CURP to verify your identity.
5. Enter the RFC as it appears on your current driver’s license. Respect the use of capital letters.
6. Provide the remaining data and the chatbot will guide you to obtain the payment token. Remember that you can check your digital license in your CDMX Key account or the physical format in the capital’s treasuries.
