Currently, there are five active forest fires in Oaxaca, and Army and Navy tanker helicopters have been deployed to assist in control and extinction efforts.

In the Juárez mountains, a highly complex forest fire broke out, which led the authorities to take the measure of closing the Oaxaca-Tuxtepec federal highway as a precaution against the contingency.
This decision responds to the forest fire that occurred in the La Soledad neighborhood, which affects the path to the glass viewpoint of that town.
To facilitate firefighting efforts, a filter has been established in the fire area, allowing access only to the necessary support personnel.
Currently, five forest fires are active in Oaxaca. Two tanker helicopters, one from the Army and the other from the Navy, have contributed to the control and extinction efforts.
Oaxaca remains in fourth position nationally in terms of forest damage. In the last six months, more than 191 fires have been recorded, affecting at least 24 thousand hectares of forests.
