The sale of alcohol in closed containers will be prohibited in Puerto Vallarta due to the elections on June 2; hotels, restaurants and bars until 11 at night

The interim mayor, Francisco José Martínez Gil, reported this afternoon of Monday, May 27, that the dry law would be applied in certain terms in Puerto Vallarta, during this Saturday and Sunday due to the June 2 elections.

That is, for hotels, restaurants and bars, alcohol may be sold during the weekend until 11 at night; However, it cannot be taken away, only for consumption inside the premises.

While all commercial establishments selling alcoholic beverages in closed containers will be prohibited from selling throughout Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, meaning warehouses, convenience stores, supermarkets and others.

Citizens will be able to vote until 6 pm on Sunday

The decision was made this Monday in conjunction with the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC), the Association of Hotels and Motels of Puerto Vallarta and with authorities of the Puerto Vallarta City Council, represented by the mayor, the director of Register and Licenses, Daniel Córdova Aréchiga, the head of Regulations, Salvador Gutiérrez, and the director of Municipal Tourism, Christian Preciado Cázares.
