San Miguel de Allende.- One of the most traditional, extravagant and fun events that takes place year after year in San Miguel de Allende the first weekend after the Day of San Antonio de Pádua (June 13) is without a doubt the Fiesta , Treat or Crazy Parade, where participants, dressed up or as spectators, enjoy an experience full of color, music and, above all, fun.
On this occasion, as in other years, the celebration coincides with the date of Father’s Day, so on June 16 the party has the reason for a double celebration, since entire families, not only San Miguel residents, participate in the parade. but from several neighboring municipalities and even from various parts of the country, since everyone attends knowing that it is an event of healthy fun and coexistence.
That day, the city is once again expected to transform into a stage full of joy, as there are several thousand participants who come in creative and extravagant costumes, such as superheroes, classic characters from magazines and television series, animals, politicians. , current figures, nuns and transvestites, among others, who will make the journey on foot or in floats throwing sweets to the spectators along the way.
The tour and assistance
Just like previous years, this fun, festive, attractive, extravagant, unique, traditional and etc. etc parade will begin around 10 in the morning in front of the Church of San Antonio, where the contingents will be organized to take the streets Zacateros, Hernández Macías, Insurgentes, Aparicio and Núñez, going down San Francisco until reaching the Central Garden.
And just like previous years, around 100,000 people are expected to participate, making hurdles along the entire route and another 10,000 parading.
