Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The National Action Party reported that in Mazatlán, the Secretary of Public Security, Jaime Othoniel Barrón Valdez, is operating in the transportation of voters, for which it requested the State Electoral Institute to intervene, since the official seeks to favor candidates for a party.

During the session of the local electoral body, the PAN representative, Edgardo Burgos Marentes stated that since very early on, actions by police elements have been documented, working in favor of the MORENA candidates.

He asked the head of the IEES, Arturo Fajardo Mejía, to request the intervention of state security authorities and federal forces to act against these illegal practices practiced by the police chief.

For its part, the State Committee of the National Electoral Institute, in its session at two in the afternoon, certified the installation of a total of five thousand 159 polling stations throughout the state, in which there are no reports of serious incidents that disrupt the electoral process that is taking place.
