33 Querétaro groups, 37 national and 15 international will participate, with 115 free high-level shows.
The Municipal President of Querétaro, Luis Nava, announced the Third Edition of the Querétaro Experimental International Festival 2024 with which once again the Guerrero Garden and Zenea, as well as the walkways of the first square of the city will be filled with music, dance and theater so that families can enjoy art and culture for free during 11 Saturdays starting this June 8 and until August 17, with the participation of 85 Queretaro, national and international groups with 115 shows.
“I want to emphasize it: we comply and here we continue working, with you until the end with the Querétaro Experimental Festival; so that you and your family can enjoy for free the best of art, and the best of the Querétaro that we love so much and that we want to show to all our visitors and that we want Queretaro families to be able to enjoy,” said Luis Nava, recalling that some shows will also be taken to the municipal delegations on Fridays.
The Municipal Secretary of Culture, María Teresa García Besné, explained that in this third edition the festival was conceived based on two greats of Mexican culture: Octavio Paz, with the installation of a piece in the 5 de Mayo walkway and Jardín Zenea; and Rufino Tamayo, with a monumental and multidisciplinary production made by Queretaro artists. She added that during the Querétaro Experimental Festival, 33 Queretaro groups, 37 national and 15 international will participate.
For her part, the Municipal Secretary of Tourism, Alejandra Iturbe Rosas, indicated that thanks to the two previous editions, the Querétaro Experimental has positioned the city as a benchmark for Cultural Tourism, and highlighted that for 2024 an attendance of more than 110 thousand Queretaro residents and visitors is expected, who will leave an approximate economic spill of 130 million pesos, mainly for the commerce and services sector.
Finally, Gastón Louis Lungman, Director of the Subcielo Company, thanked not only the invitation to participate in the third edition of the Querétaro Experimental that has positioned itself as a reference throughout the country, but also the fact that the Municipality of Querétaro continues to support this type of projects that promote art and culture in all its forms and scenic experimentation: “we are very happy and we hope to see you all this Saturday the 8th at 8:00 p.m. in Plaza Fundadores.”
The inauguration of the Querétaro Experimental 2024 will be this Saturday, June 8 at 8:00 p.m. in Plaza Fundadores, with the presentation of the Spanish aerial theater company Muaré Experience, and its staging Duchamp Pilot. In addition, musical, theater and dance groups will perform during the festival such as: Hercules and Love Affair, The Wolves, Paté de Fua, Porter, Systema Solar, Cie Des Quidams, Mastropiados, Ácido Pantera, Alika, Grupo Puja, among others.
