The eight-year-old girl Abisaí Hernández dreamed of being the children’s queen of the Veracruz Carnival, but she did not achieve it. Now she will represent Mexico internationally in the Mini World 2024 contest, said the girl’s tutor, teacher Elvia Candelario.

“Her dream was to be Carnival queen, she was not able to do so due to certain circumstances that the committee makes, then the Mini World call came, so she asked her mother to ask how she could register to participate because her dream is to be a queen.”

She pointed out that Abisaí is eight years old and suffers from a heart disease, because of her age she was chosen to be Mini World “Baby Veracruz 2024.”

“She told her story to the Mini World committee, so she was already designated as the representative of Veracruz and the representative of Mexico.”

The committee has not yet told them if the contest will be in Brazil or in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, but what is a fact is that it will be abroad.

The contest will feature the participation of Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, the United States, among others.

Teacher Elvia Candelario commented that in Mexico there were 1,200 girls of the age range who sought to be Baby World 2024, but her godmother Lorena Anahí Lugo Cruz, director of Mini World at the international level, designated her as the representative of Mexico.

Abisaí is in second grade at the Miguel Alemán school located in Juárez and Libertad.

Abisaí was given a social task which is to visit all the nursing homes in Veracruz, since then she has gone to each one, where her classmates from school accompany her.
