The first furrow was dug to lay the foundation for what will be the construction of the State Institute for Higher Studies in Security of the State of Nayarit; the groups will be made up of 30 elements, with a preparation divided into two phases; the first of them corresponds to the Higher University Technician in Citizen Security and the second phase to the Bachelor of Science in Security, which translates into a training period of three years and two months.
“Right now we have three generations in progress, one about to enroll but the opening is for all corporations, obviously due to the capacity of recruitment we have to be prudent in the generations but we think that when closing the administration of our Governor, Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, we would be working with approximately ten or twelve generations already in form, the first one comes out in December” explained Manasés Langarica, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection.
The modality is quarterly, discontinuous and is developed at different times, that is to say, during one month they would be in class and the following months they would apply their knowledge in the field, Langarica specified.
“The capacity will be eight classrooms for 40 elements, around 250 elements simultaneously trained. They will sign a letter of commitment to serve their state, because it does not cost them a penny to train, on the contrary, they continue earning their salary while they are in the classrooms with us, so, the minimum commitment is that they remain a period of time in our entity,” added the official.
As part of the requirements to enter, it is required to be within the corporation for a considered time, this school for police officers will be located in the Canteras area, in Tepic.
