We tell you the temperature for each municipality of La Laguna.

According to the forecast of the National Meteorological System, the weather in Coahuila and Durango for this Sunday, May 19, 2024 will be marked by significant contrasts, due to the interaction of various meteorological phenomena. During this Saturday night and early Sunday morning, low pressure channels will extend their influence over the region, which will result in varied and extreme weather conditions.
What will the temperatures be this Sunday?
For tomorrow, May 19, extreme temperatures are forecast in both states. In Coahuila, maximum temperatures above 45 °C are expected, which represents a significant risk of heat stroke and dehydration. It is essential that the population take precautions, such as staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and wearing light, light-colored clothing.
In Durango, maximum temperatures will range between 35 and 40 °C. Although not as extreme as in Coahuila, these temperatures can also be uncomfortable and dangerous without proper precautions.
Furthermore, during the early morning hours, it is expected that minimum temperatures in the mountains of Durango will drop to values between 0 and 5 °C, creating a cool and, in some areas, cold environment. This can lead to light frost conditions in mountainous areas, affecting local agriculture.
There will also be winds
The wind will be another key factor in tomorrow’s weather. In Coahuila, winds are forecast with gusts of 50 to 70 kilometers per hour, accompanied by possible dust devils. These conditions can reduce visibility and affect vehicular traffic, in addition to causing respiratory problems for vulnerable people, such as children and older adults.
In Durango, the winds will be slightly less intense, with gusts of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour, also with possible dust devils.
The atmosphere will vary significantly throughout the day. During the morning, a generally cool environment is expected, with cold conditions in the mountains of Durango. This will offer temporary relief before temperatures rise significantly in the afternoon.
As the day progresses, very hot to extremely hot weather is expected in the region. In Coahuila, temperatures will exceed 45 degrees, while in Durango they will reach up to 40.
These extreme conditions can be dangerous, so the population is recommended to avoid intense physical activities during peak heat hours and stay in cool, shaded places.
How to prepare for extreme weather?
To face tomorrow’s extreme weather conditions, it is important to follow some recommendations:
Hydration: Drink plenty of water, even if you are not thirsty, to avoid dehydration.
Appropriate clothing: Wear light, light-colored clothing and a hat or cap to protect yourself from the sun.
Sun protection: Apply sunscreen with an adequate protection factor to prevent sunburn.
Avoid direct sun: Limit sun exposure, especially during the hottest hours of the day, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pay attention to weather alerts: Stay informed about weather conditions through official media and follow the recommendations of local authorities.
