In light of the formation of tropical storm “Alberto,” which is expected to make landfall in the next few hours, the Tren Maya reported that a section of track requires maintenance due to damage caused by excessive rain.

It indicated that the trip this Wednesday, June 19, from 7:00 a.m. from the Palenque station to the Cancún Aeropuerto station (Route 101), would have a connecting service from the San Francisco de Campeche station to the Tenabo station at 12:00 p.m., to continue to its original destination.

“The above, due to the fact that a 70 m section of track requires maintenance due to damage caused by excessive rain, so there are work crews in the area to restore circulation, without this implying the suspension of our service,” it said.

It mentioned that given the weather conditions, “we are fully prepared to deal with any situation that may arise in relation to this phenomenon.”

“For Tren Maya, the highest priority is to safeguard the safety of our users and their families during our service, which is why care and prevention protocols have been activated to guarantee an adequate and timely response to this situation.

“Likewise, permanent coordination has been established with state governments, the Mexican Army, the National Guard, Civil Protection and Conagua. Any necessary adjustments to the service will be reported as soon as possible,” said Tren Maya through social networks.

It asked users to stay informed through social networks and the official website.
