China inaugurates merchant route to Mexico

La empresa MSC, anunció el lanzamiento de un nuevo servicio de transporte marítimo de carga, de China hacia México, a partir del próximo 3 de agosto.

Chinese company MSC, a leader in container shipping, announced the launch of a new service called Dhalia that will sail the Shekou-Xiamen-Shanghai-Busan-Manzanillo-Lázaro Cárdenas route, starting on August 3.

“We are launching a new transport service, Dhalia, to provide additional capacity for cargo from Asia to the west coast of Mexico.”

The new service, the company revealed on its website, will serve trade between southern China and Mexico, as well as additional network coverage and frequency between both points.

Given the growing trade between China and Mexico, it is increasingly common to see announcements of this type.
Proof of this is that just on May 6, the maritime carrier Cosco Shipping, through its subsidiary based in Hong Kong, OOCL, opened an express route to Mexico to streamline delivery times.
