Pablo Lemus responds to AMLO after request for a ‘vote by vote’ in the Jalisco election: “We are going to consolidate the victory”

The member of the MC assured that this will discard Morena’s narrative about an alleged electoral fraud

The virtual governor-elect of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus, responded to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for his position that a vote-by-vote recount be carried out due to suspicion of fraud due to irregularities committed by the electoral authority.

Lemus said he agreed that a recount of the votes cast on June 2 should be carried out; however, he warned that this will only allow him to consolidate his victory and rule out the possibility of fraud, a narrative that Morena has maintained after the election results were announced.

“In light of what President @lopezobrador_ mentioned, regarding the recount of votes in Jalisco, I want to make it clear that I am in favor of the electoral authorities recounting every last vote, if they deem it necessary,” he wrote on his X account, formerly Twitter.

“Counting all the votes will consolidate our victory, it will also give us a greater advantage in the election and will eliminate Morena’s false narrative. Thank you, President!” concluded Pablo Lemus.

Last week, Claudia Delgadillo announced that Morena had challenged the election for the governorship of Jalisco and accused the electoral institute of being involved in the fraud due to the irregularities that compromised the safekeeping of the ballots cast by the citizens.

“We are fighting this legal battle because what matters most to us is ensuring that the voice of the people of Jalisco is respected. We are sure that with the arguments and evidence offered, the authority will have the necessary elements to clean up the election in Jalisco,” said Claudia Delgadillo.

In today’s morning press conference, President López Obrador took a position regarding the electoral process in Jalisco, after the Morena candidate challenged the election and the president of the IEPC Jalisco supposedly refused to receive evidence.

“Let the packages be opened and the votes counted, that is the best, that can be resolved in a few days, and let the electoral authority be there and let the representatives of the parties and the coalitions be there, and vote by vote, polling station by polling station, a recount is the best,” he said at his press conference.
