Business associations and chambers are seeking government support with the updating of the drainage network system

With the arrival of the new Mazatlán Urban Development Program, which is about to be published by the municipal government, the city must grow in an orderly manner. Therefore, developers must comply with the construction regulations, said the president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals, Ismael Tirado Robles.
He mentioned that, sometimes, they try to negotiate greater height or density, but this depends largely on the viability of the drinking water, drainage, mobility and electricity services.
Tirado Robles commented that this aspect will be regulated within the Mazatlán Urban Development Plan and that, at the same time, there is a construction regulation to which developers must adhere to obtain the necessary permits.
“Each case has already been analyzed, and there are the necessary conditions according to the viability of the drinking water, drainage and urban mobility services to be able to grant the permits,” he stressed.

He added that several associations and chambers of civil society are seeking support from the Municipality, the State and the Federation for the updating of the drainage network system and urban mobility, since Mazatlán has grown a lot, also increasing the real estate supply.
He added that the government must create awareness and establish the conditions for this growth to be orderly in the future. Currently, the conditions exist, but one must think about the medium and long term.
