The Guadalajara Highway arrived in Vallarta and ejidatarios gave up their plots

The highway or short route to Guadalajara has already entered Puerto Vallarta, with its branches and connection to the Macrolibramiento, its route passes through some ejidos of this municipality, among them Ixtapa and Las Juntas, in their plots and lands of common use the progress of the machinery and experts to complete the modern highway can already be seen, previously they were compensated but now life will change in their ranches, corrals and crops.

Alejandro Hernández Hernández, president of the ejido commission of Las Juntas, located north of the city, next to the bordering Ameca River, recalled that 6 years ago they paid the possessors of the expropriated lands, but they do not know about the next stage.

“There are some plots that were already compensated, about 6 years ago. Currently we have no contact with the Ministry of Communications and Transportation for the next stage, we have not had talks, nor are we aware of the route where it will go…Obviously the progress that Vallarta needs will benefit everyone, some sacrifice their land, which is for their ranches and daily activities, it is said that compensation is paid for the damage, but it is a reality that progress will benefit everyone,” he said.
Carlos Álvarez, who was president of the Ejido of Ixtapa knew about the issue; he indicated that they have already been compensated, so he said they were not affected by this work, he considered that the livestock industry will not be affected either, since they will have to leave paths and fences.

“It will not affect us… the plots where the highway will pass have already been compensated, we have already been paid where the highway crosses for common use. The macro-bypass, which I believe is a branch of the highway, has also already been paid. I don’t think it affected livestock farming, because they have to put up fences around the entire road and there are few ranchers left. In my ejido there are about 20, one because of the shortage of pasture, since there is little agricultural land, they can no longer go down to the plan and another because of so many cars and roads, so to move livestock from one plot to another or from one ranch to another property you need a Traffic escort,” he shared.
