Xcaret announces the First Xcaret Fair of Mexican Popular Art, an event that seeks to exalt the popular art of our country and celebrate the talent of Mexico’s artisans.
This meeting seeks to celebrate Mexican culture, offering a complete and enriching experience for both exhibitors and visitors.
When will the First Xcaret Fair of Mexican Popular Art be?
It will take place from September 19 to 22, 2024, when the Hacienda Henequenera of Xcaret Park will become the stage for the dissemination of our traditions. More than 280 master craftsmen and craftswomen, both recognized and emerging, will meet there to exhibit and sell their unique creations.
The First Xcaret Fair of Mexican Popular Art is not limited to recognizing and exalting the cultural wealth of Mexico, it will also provide artisans with tools to boost their businesses. Participants will receive training in legal, financial and social media management areas, with the aim of amplifying their sales and reach.
For their part, attendees of this fair will be able to enjoy a wide range of activities that include demonstrations of artisan techniques, Mexican snacks, musical performances and catwalks.
The Xcaret Fair of Mexican Popular Art will not only be a showcase for artisan talent, but also a forum for reflection and learning. During the event, a series of conferences will be offered that will highlight the value of popular art as cultural heritage, explore the ancient history of Mayan embroidery, the recovery of Mayan blue and the importance of preserving living heritage in all its dimensions.
