After 14 years of being one of the favorite places for people from San Luis Potosí and national and foreign visitors, where they proudly sold delicacies from San Luis Potosí such as pulque, mezcal and traditional food, La Piquería Mezcalería closed its doors.

Through social networks they announced the closing of the establishment located on Independencia Street in front of the Aranzazú square and near the Museo Regional Potosino in the Historic Center of San Luis Potosí.

“We are leaving, thank you for everything (…) during this time we dedicated ourselves body and soul to bringing you mezcals from all over Mexico as well as some of your culture.

Today we decided to end this trip and continue on our way, always grateful to you and hoping that one day we can serve you again, we can dance again, drink good mezcals and meet new people.”

Now the two-story blue building is alone, the music and joy that was lived inside, especially on weekends, is gone, however the memories of parties and performances will prevail in the memory of those who visited it.

So far the decision to close is unknown, however, clients and mezcal enthusiasts have expressed their sadness, also on social networks, for the closing of the place that, in addition to highlighting the drinks from Potosi as a reference for recognizing roots, also encouraged and promoted local artists who performed there.
