On Tuesday, a person reported on social media that a Va y Ven bus driver forced a passenger to get off the bus because she was carrying a small dog in a carrier.

Andrés Pacheco shared the incident on his profile, stating, “Today, I had the misfortune of witnessing a very bitter moment on the ‘people’s’ transportation in Va y Ven. The driver of the bus refused to continue the route unless the lady got off.”

Despite the dog being safely in a carrier and not causing any inconvenience to other passengers, the driver stopped the bus and insisted that the passenger leave. When the dog barked at a stop, the driver finally noticed its presence.

Police officers had to intervene due to the driver’s persistence. They asked the woman to disembark and arranged for a taxi since she was not from Mérida.

After the incident, the driver refused to continue on the planned route, and passengers had to exit the bus and wait for the next one.
