International Folklore Festival continues to shine in Orizaba, the activities

With the national gala on Thursday, the activities of the Orizaba International Folklore Festival (FINCO) 2024 continued; dance academies performed at the Ignacio de la Llave theater, a stage that will see the delegations from Bulgaria and Bolivia tomorrow.

Today’s session started with dances such as “La bruja”, “El guateque”, “El Jaquetón”, “La Bamba” and “El zapateado veracruzano” by the folkloric ballet “Sonecitos de Huatusco”.

The group, founded in 2022, participated in the Orizaba International Folklore Festival, in its eleventh edition.

Likewise, as part of the national participations, the group “Yolotzin” by maestro José Javier Dávila Ramírez (RIP) was presented, who danced Baja California songs such as “La Loba de Mar”, “La boda del huitlacoche” and “La Cancanilla”.

On behalf of “Zontradicion”, from the Zongolica Higher Technological Institute, formed in 2015, they participated in this event with songs such as “el otro viejo”, “el sinaloense”, “El coyote”, “El toro mambo” and “pavo asado”, where the Huatusco children’s group participated with them.

The faldeo, zapateado and folklore adorned this event that, in its eleventh edition, had as international guests the countries of Bulgaria and Bolivia, who will perform this Friday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. on stage.

It is worth noting that at the end of the national gala, awards were given to the participating companies, and then the curtain was lowered and the souvenir photos were taken.

What activities will there be this Friday and Saturday at FINCO 2024?
According to the program, this July 26, at 4:00 p.m., the Llave theater will once again become the venue and the group from the Orizaba Institute of Technology, the Citlaltépetl folkloric ballet and the Yaxche ballet will be on stage.

At 7:00 p.m. the second international forum will take place, where the same opening acts will be present, but Bulgaria will be on stage.

It is worth mentioning that this Friday at 11 a.m. the traditional parade will take place, which will start from the Alameda and end up at the Ignacio de la Llave theater.

On July 27, the Bulgarian group will arrive in the municipality of Huatusco, at the Soleiro theater, where residents will be able to enjoy this event for free. Admission is free.

It is worth noting that the ticket for the International Gala at the Ignacio de la Llave Theater costs 100 pesos and the funds will be used to cover the expenses of the invited international companies.

Tickets are sold at the rehearsal facilities of the Orizaba Folkloric Ballet, located at Sur 18, between Poniente 5 and 7, number 385, upstairs, or at the Theater box office.
