An explosion occurred this morning at the La Marea restaurant, on the Vigía hill, when personnel from a gas company were supplying the hydrocarbon there.
Preliminary information indicates that there are at least two injured people, who have already been transferred to receive medical attention.
The injured are a restaurant worker and a gas company employee.
Civil Protection personnel and Mazatlán Firefighters went to the area to help the injured and fight the flames.
Authorities indicated that the incident occurred when one of the gas company workers was supplying LP gas to the restaurant.
The restaurant staff was evacuated as well as the surrounding area.
