The criminal group La Empresa from Ciudad Juarez seeks to take control of the distribution and sale of drugs in the entire Periférico de la Juventud strip, according to information that the Municipal Police and the Attorney General’s Office follow.
Even the Mayor, Marco Bonilla, accepted that for some time they detected the incursion of an external criminal group that wants to lead the drug dealing in the clubs located throughout the Periférico de la Juventud.
Although the Specialized Prosecutor for Women is the one leading the investigation regarding the shooting outside La Barra and Juana Gallo, several units of the Prosecutor’s Office have information in which they would investigate a struggle for the control of narcotics.
Those who go to the bars, clubs and taverns in the Periférico de la Juventud strip are those with the most purchasing power in the capital, since it represents the area of greatest economic development, in that section there are at least 35 establishments with that line of business.
