“Yes we can, yes we can, yes we can!” the fans shouted while they watched on a giant screen as Marco Verde put Mexico at the top of Olympic boxing.
In the end, far from resenting the defeat against the Uzbek Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev, they celebrated and rejoiced with everything for the silver medal, proudly seeing the Mexican flag on the podium of the Olympic Games.
