President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that the last section of the Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta short route will be ready and inaugurated before the end of his administration.
During his visit to the neighboring state of Nayarit, this weekend the national leader inaugurated the penultimate section, corresponding to Compostela-Las Varas, which avoids the stretch of curves in the Mesillas area, on Federal Highway 200, so traveling from the capital of Jalisco to Puerto Vallarta now takes 2.5 to 3 hours, when previously it was more than 4 hours.
Regarding the last section, which will reach the Puerto Vallarta International Airport “Gustavo Díaz Ordaz”, the president assured that it will be ready at the end of September, that is, in just over 45 days.
“Before I finish, on September 29, 30, we will be inaugurating the Tepic-Compostela section and the bypass to Vallarta, rain or shine,” said López Obrador.
